The Pyre is a Manchester Phoenix/British Ice Hockey blog, maintained by Robb Hitchen, AKA “Learned Robb” (or the “Unlearned One” as some wags have named me).
The Pyre Launched in 2003, shortly after the Manchester Phoenix were formed, and to the best of Robbs knowledge is the longest running still active Manchester Phoenix site on the internet (including the official one, which is no longer updated). In its time the Pyre has been controversial, funny, witty, and rubbish, often in the same article!
